mImageViewer（以下「本アプリ」）は、利用者のプライバシーを尊重します。本アプリは利用者の PC 上でローカルに動作するデスクトップアプリケーションであり、 開発者が利用者の個人情報を収集・送信・販売することは一切ありません。

収集する個人情報

本アプリは、氏名・メールアドレス・位置情報・連絡先などの個人情報を利用者に求めません。アカウント登録やログインも不要です。開発者が利用者の情報や利用状況を受け取ることはありません。ファイルの場所や閲覧位置など利用に必要な情報は利用者の PC に保存され、リモート閲覧中は利用者の端末と PC の間でだけやり取りされます。

端末内に保存されるデータ

本アプリは、動作に必要な次のデータを利用者の PC に保存します。リモート閲覧を有効にした場合、再生位置などは利用者の端末から PC へ送られます。開発者のサーバーへ送信されることはありません。外出先との暗号化された通信は Tailscale の中継サーバーを経由することがあります。

外部ツールへ渡すために一時的に書き出した画像とファイル一覧のリスト（本アプリの終了時に削除します。「一時ファイルを残す」が有効なら、起動に成功して渡した分は終了時には残します）
クリップボードから取り込んだ画像（取り込みフォルダまたは Ctrl+V を押したときのフォルダへ保存）。出どころの URL がわかる場合は、Windows の Mark of the Web として記録します。ページの画像を選ぶ間の一時ファイルは、取得・保存が終わった後に削除し、異常終了などで残った分は次回起動時に片付けます
単体exe版・インストーラ版の起動用ファイル（runtime フォルダー）。起動後に古い版や音響調整の旧ファイルのバックグラウンド清掃を試みます。現在の版のファイルは残し、使用中と判断したものや保存先を確認できないものは見送ります。削除できなかったものは次回起動時に再び試します。清掃の競合を防ぐ小さな管理ファイルは削除せず残します

mImageViewer 自身のデータの保存先は %APPDATA%\mimageviewer（インストーラ版・単体exe版）、またはポータブル版では実行ファイルと同じ場所の data フォルダです。アンインストール時に削除できます。リモート閲覧用サービスの動作記録等は、通常版では別の %APPDATA%\mimageviewer-remote\ に保存され、アンインストール後も残ります。ポータブル版は data と同じ場所の data-remote を使います。不要になった場合は、アプリを終了してから手動で削除できます。

環境設定のうち移行できる項目は、利用者が選んだファイルにも保存できます。ファイルに閲覧履歴・登録先・接続情報は含めず、アプリから外部へ送信しません。ネットワーク共有や同期フォルダを選ぶ場合は、その保存先や同期ソフトの動作に従います。

音響調整 (EffeTune) のプリセット・設定は、別の %APPDATA%\effetune\ または %APPDATA%\Frieve\EffeTunePlugin\ に保存されます。取り込んだ IR ファイル・測定データ、ビジュアライザーのレイアウト・背景画像は %APPDATA%\mimageviewer-vst3-host.exe\ に置かれます。 mImageViewer のデータフォルダーを変更しても、これらの保存先は変わりません。 EffeTune 自身の保存データは mImageViewer のアンインストール時にも残ります。プリセット・設定は他の EffeTune 製品とも共有されるため、自動では削除しません。他の製品でも不要になったことを確認し、関連するアプリを終了してから手動で削除できます。ポータブル版では音響調整を利用できません。次に起動したときに同じ調整で始めるための状態は、mImageViewer のデータフォルダーに保存します。

EPUB の閲覧用変換では、Windows の一時フォルダ内に本アプリ専用の作業場所を作り、変換に使う Windows の表示機能（WebView2）のデータもそこに一時保存します。ポータブル版ではアプリのデータフォルダ内を使います。元の EPUB と同じ場所に PDF を保存するときの変換作業は、アプリのデータフォルダ内で行います。本アプリが作った一時フォルダは変換後に削除を試み、異常終了などで残った分は次回の通常起動時に回収を試みます。 Windows または Edge WebView2 に管理者や利用者がポリシーを設定して別の保存先を指定した場合は、その設定に従い、別の保存先のデータを本アプリは削除しません。

元の EPUB と同じ場所に PDF を作るのは、利用者が確認画面の「PDF ファイルとして保存して開く」か、一覧の右クリック「変換 > PDF ファイルに変換」を選んだときだけです。元の EPUB がネットワーク上のフォルダにあれば、PDF もそこに保存されます。通常の閲覧用変換では元の EPUB の隣に書き出しません。保存する PDF には EPUB の書名と、著者情報があれば最初の著者が記録されます。書名がない場合は EPUB のファイル名が使われます。

外部ツールへ渡す一時画像とファイル一覧のリストは、Windows の一時フォルダ内に本アプリ専用の場所を作って書き出します（ポータブル版ではデータフォルダの中）。本アプリの終了時に削除し、前回異常終了などで残った分も次回の起動時に片付けます。「一時ファイルを残す」が有効なら、起動に成功して渡した分は終了時には残します。渡した先のアプリがそのファイルをどう扱うかは、そのアプリ側の動作になります。

不具合を調べるための動作記録を利用者が有効にした場合は、開いたファイルの場所を含む記録が PC 内の logs フォルダに残ります。これも外部へ送信されることはなく、不要になれば削除できます。

起動の不具合を調べられるように、起動のたびに起動時の記録を PC 内に保存します（インストーラ版・単体exe版は %LOCALAPPDATA%\mimageviewer\startup-logs、ポータブル版はデータフォルダ内の logs\startup）。起動時に開いた場所や、データの保存場所を含みます。外部へ送信されることはなく、直近 10 回分だけを残して古いものは自動で削除します。

ネットワーク通信

本アプリが外部と通信するのは、次の場合に限られます。

更新確認: 新しいバージョンの有無を確認するため、配布元（GitHub）の公開リリース情報を取得します。通常の HTTP リクエストのみで、個人を特定する情報は送信しません。
任意コンポーネントのダウンロード: 利用者が自ら選択した場合に限り、AI 高速化用コンポーネント等を配布元から取得します。
クリップボード取り込み: クリップボードの取り込み監視は、環境設定のチェックを ON にしたときだけ動きます。コピーしたページの画像は、選択ダイアログを開いたときに、画像の URL へ GET を送って取得します。User-Agent は mImageViewer/<版> です。
参照元はブラウザの既定と同じ規則（strict-origin-when-cross-origin）で送ります。同じオリジン（通信方式・ホスト名・ポート）にはページの URL、別のオリジンにはオリジンだけを送り、HTTPS から HTTP へは送りません。ページの URL から認証情報と「#」以降を除きます。Cookie やブラウザのログイン情報は使わず、送信もしません。この機能では、画像取得のための通信以外に、コピー内容や画像を送信・収集しません。使い方を見る
リモート閲覧（既定では無効）: 利用者が自ら有効にした場合に限り、 PC 内で待ち受けを始め、利用者自身のスマートフォンやタブレットのブラウザへ画像・動画・音声を送ります。複数の音声トラックがある動画では、トラックの番号と表示名の一覧、および選んだトラックの音声が端末へ渡ります。端末で見た動画のファイル識別情報・再生位置・長さは端末から PC へ送られ、再生位置は PC の設定と閲覧履歴に記録されます。端末で選んだ音声トラックも PC に保存されます。待ち受けは PC の内部に対して行うので、外部から直接つながることはありません。外出先からつなぐには、別途インストールする Tailscale を利用者自身が設定します。外出先の端末との通信は Tailscale によって暗号化されます。接続状況によっては、この暗号化された通信が Tailscale の中継サーバーを経由することがありますが、中継サーバーでは画像やライブラリの内容を読み取れません。 画像やライブラリの内容が、開発者のサーバーへ送られることはありません。

EPUB の変換も通信を増やしません。本の外部サイトへの要求はすべて遮断し、PC 内で PDF に変換します。Windows または Edge WebView2 に管理者や利用者がポリシーを設定している場合は、その設定に従います。

これらの通信先（GitHub / mikage.to、リモート閲覧を使う場合の Tailscale、クリップボード取り込みで画像を取得するサイト等）は、各社のプライバシーポリシーに従って通常のアクセスログ（IP アドレス等）を記録する場合がありますが、 開発者がそれらの情報を取得・利用することはありません。

AI 機能について

AI によるアップスケール・ノイズ除去・補完・自動判別などの処理は、 すべて利用者の PC 内（GPU）で実行されます。 AI 処理のために画像を外部のサーバーへアップロードすることはありません。

解析・広告

本アプリは、アクセス解析ツール・広告を一切含みません。利用状況やクラッシュ情報を開発者へ自動送信することもありません。

動作記録は、利用者自身が不具合を調べるために PC 内へ保存されるものです。 開発者がそれを受け取ることはありません。

第三者への提供

開発者は利用者の情報を取得しないため、第三者へ提供する情報はありません。

リモート閲覧を外出先から使う場合に必要な Tailscale は、本アプリとは別の会社が提供するソフトウェアとサービスで、利用者自身が契約・設定します。その利用は Tailscale のプライバシーポリシーに従います。暗号化された通信が Tailscale の中継サーバーを経由することはありますが、中継サーバーは画像やライブラリの内容を読めません。

mImageViewer ("the App") respects your privacy. The App is a desktop application that runs locally on your PC. The developer does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your personal information.

Personal information we collect

The App does not ask you for personal information such as your name, email address, location, or contacts, and no account or sign-in is required. The developer does not receive your information or any usage data. Information needed to use the App, such as file locations and viewing positions, is stored on your PC and, during remote viewing, travels only between your device and your PC.

Data stored on your device

The App stores the following data on your PC. When you enable remote viewing, playback progress and related information travel from your device to your PC. They are not sent to the developer's server. Encrypted traffic may pass through a Tailscale relay server when you connect from outside your home.

Application settings and view state, video and audio playback positions, and the audio track selected for each file
EffeTune adjustment state, presets, configuration, imported IR files and measurements, and visualizer layouts and background images
Thumbnail cache (including video frames and audio waveform analysis)
PDFs converted from EPUBs for reading (you can delete them in the cache manager immediately; books in use remain and the App shows why they could not be deleted)
Tags, ratings, rotation info, and reading history
Collections (list names, ordering, and the locations of the files and folders you add), and their rolling backups
An index for finding alternate versions (image locations, formats, dimensions, and information used to compare their appearance)
PDF passwords (encrypted using the Windows data-protection API)
The remote-viewing PIN (stored in a form that cannot be turned back into the PIN)
Remote-viewing operation records (timings and similar numbers, plus the names of the pages you opened)
Images temporarily exported for external tools (removed when the App exits)
Images captured from the clipboard (saved in the capture folder, or in the current folder when you press Ctrl+V). When the source URLs are available, the App records them as Windows Mark of the Web. Temporary files used while selecting page images are removed after fetching and saving have finished; leftovers from an interrupted run are cleaned up at the next start
Startup files for the installer and single-exe editions (the runtime folder). After startup, the App attempts background cleanup of older versions and old audio-adjustment files. It keeps the current version and skips files identified as in use or whose storage location cannot be verified. Failed deletions are tried again at a later startup. Tiny management files used to coordinate cleanup are kept

mImageViewer's own data is stored in %APPDATA%\mimageviewer (installer / single-exe editions), or in a data folder next to the executable (portable edition). It can be removed when you uninstall the App. In the installer and single-exe editions, the remote-viewing service stores operation records and related data separately in %APPDATA%\mimageviewer-remote\. This folder remains after uninstalling. The portable edition uses a data-remote folder alongside data. If you no longer need it, close the App and delete the folder manually.

EffeTune stores its presets and configuration separately in %APPDATA%\effetune\ or %APPDATA%\Frieve\EffeTunePlugin\. Imported IR files, measurements, and visualizer layouts and background images are stored in %APPDATA%\mimageviewer-vst3-host.exe\, regardless of mImageViewer's data folder. EffeTune's own data remains when mImageViewer is uninstalled. Presets and configuration are shared with other EffeTune products, so they are not deleted automatically. Delete them manually only after checking that other products no longer need them and closing the related apps. The portable edition does not provide EffeTune. The state that lets the next launch start with the same adjustment is saved in mImageViewer's own data folder.

When converting an EPUB for reading, the App creates a dedicated work folder inside the Windows temporary folder. It temporarily stores data from the Windows display component used for conversion (WebView2) there. The portable edition uses its data folder instead. When you save a PDF beside the EPUB, conversion uses a work folder inside the App's data folder. The App attempts to remove its own temporary folders after conversion and to clean up leftovers from an interrupted conversion at the next normal start. If an administrator or user has configured a Windows or Edge WebView2 policy that redirects data elsewhere, the App follows that policy and does not delete data in the redirected location.

The App creates a PDF beside the original EPUB only when you choose the save button in the conversion dialog or the right-click PDF conversion command. If the EPUB is in a network folder, the PDF is saved there too. Ordinary conversion for reading does not write a PDF beside the original EPUB. The saved PDF records the EPUB's book title and, if present, its first author; if no title is present, the App uses the EPUB's filename.

If you turn on operation logging to investigate a problem, the records kept in the logs folder on your PC include the locations of the files you opened. These are not sent anywhere either, and you can delete them once you no longer need them.

So that startup problems can be investigated, the App saves a startup record on your PC every time it starts (%LOCALAPPDATA%\mimageviewer\startup-logs for the installer and single-exe editions; logs\startup inside the data folder for the portable edition). It includes the locations opened at startup and where the App stores its data. It is not sent anywhere, and only the 10 most recent records are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.

Network communication

The App connects to the internet only in the following cases:

Update check: to see whether a newer version exists, the App retrieves the public release information from the distribution source (GitHub). This is an ordinary HTTP request and includes no personally identifying information.
Optional component download: only when you choose to, the App downloads optional components (such as AI acceleration packs) from the distribution source.
Clipboard capture: capture monitoring runs only when you turn on its checkboxes in Preferences. When you open the image selection dialog for a copied page, the App fetches its images by sending GET requests to the image URLs. Its User-Agent is mImageViewer/<version>.
Referrers follow the browser's default rule (strict-origin-when-cross-origin): the page URL for the same origin (scheme, host, and port), only the origin for a different origin, and no referrer when going from HTTPS to HTTP. Credentials and the fragment after "#" are removed from the page URL. Cookies and browser login information are neither used nor sent. This feature does not send or collect clipboard contents or images beyond the requests needed to fetch the images. Read the manual
Remote viewing (off by default): only when you turn it on, the App starts listening inside your PC and sends images, video, and audio to a browser on your own phone or tablet. For videos with multiple audio tracks, the device receives a list of track numbers and display names, plus audio from the selected track. Your device sends the video file identifier, playback position, and duration to your PC, where the position is recorded in settings and viewing history. The audio track you choose on the device is also saved on your PC. The App listens on the PC itself, so nothing can reach it directly from outside. To connect while away from home you set up Tailscale yourself, which you install separately. Tailscale encrypts that connection; encrypted traffic may pass through a Tailscale relay server, which cannot read your images or library content. Your images and library content are never sent to the developer's server.

EPUB conversion is not another network case. The App blocks every request the book makes to an external site and converts the book to PDF on your PC. If an administrator or user has configured Windows or Edge WebView2 policies, conversion follows those settings.

These endpoints (GitHub / mikage.to, Tailscale when you use remote viewing, the sites that serve images fetched by clipboard capture, etc.) may record standard access logs (such as IP addresses) under their own privacy policies, but the developer does not obtain or use that information.

AI features

Upscaling, denoising, inpainting, and automatic classification are performed entirely on your PC (GPU). The App does not upload images to an external server for AI processing.

Analytics and advertising

The App contains no analytics tools and no advertising, and does not automatically send usage or crash data to the developer.

Operation records are kept on your PC so that you can investigate problems yourself. The developer never receives them.

Sharing with third parties

Because the developer does not obtain your information, there is nothing to share with third parties.

Tailscale, which you need in order to use remote viewing away from home, is software and a service from a different company; you sign up for it and configure it yourself. Your use of it is governed by Tailscale's privacy policy. Encrypted traffic may pass through a Tailscale relay server, but the relay cannot read your images or library content.
